Hi I'm Micah

I grew up in Utah and Idaho. I'm currently a college student studying music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music. I sing and play piano. I've been in a variety of different types of choirs. I've also played violin and guitar in the past. I like to listen to music as well of course. I also love animals and nature. I really like spending time with others and trying to help others be happy any way I can. I'm also into athletics and am normally game for any kind of impromptu sporting event. I love to exercise and be fit. I'm in college right now and I'm charging through it to get a degree in music.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was first born and throughout my early childhood years my parents were in-active church members and didn't attend church. When they decided to start coming back, I was six years old and the whole thing seemed like a huge pain to learn something completely foreign to me. It felt like a huge waste of valuable time that could be spent playing. Once I began to listen however, I began to learn that these foreign principles of this thing called religion actually made sense. As I've grown up, others of different faiths have challenged my slowly budding testimony and I've had many debates with myself about what is right and true. I relied heavily on prayer and the power of the Spirit to reveal the truth unto me and over time I've developed an unbreakable testimony that helps me find happiness even in my hardest days where despair or grief has wracked my soul. I've come to know of a loving Heavenly Father who created me and cares about me so much that He would let His only Begotten Son die for me. I've come to know my dear Savior and Redeemer who calms and mends my troubled and broken heart. I've come to know a comforting and guiding Holy Spirit that aids me in all that I do. Through all this, I can testify that this church is true and that happiness await those who open their hearts to it. It's not always easy to be humble and open our minds and hearts like this, but it is worth it. I say this in the name of my Savior, Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I teach the 18 months to about 3 year old children in my church. I love them and learn so much from them. They're sweet but sensitive spirits and inspire and teach me so much. Someday I hope to be a mother and having a calling to teach such young children has been an incredible gift and aid to me.
