Hi I'm Megan Koncurat

I'm from Bel Air, Maryland, and I'm currently serving in the Alaska, Anchorage mission.

About Me

I am a music major at BYU-Idaho. I love all kinds of music, from rock to classical. In high school I loved performing in musicals and with the marching band. I've been in over 30 musicals, and done technical work for many more. Right now I'm serving a mission in Alaska! I love learning and teaching.

Why I am a Mormon

My junior year of High School was a really hard time for me. I felt incredibly lonely, and although I was still attending church I felt like I was just going through the motions. But with the help of some inspired church leaders, I remembered why I go to Church. I go because I know that my Heavenly Father loves me, and I love Him. I know that because of my Savior, I am never truly alone, because He knows exactly what I'm going through. I know that He suffered for my sins so that I can return to Him, and that He wants me to serve Him. I love this gospel, and I love this church.

How I live my faith

As a missionary in Alaska, I have many opportunities to teach and testify of the restored gospel. I love being able to be out here, serving the Lord! I've been able to gain such a strong testimony of God's love for us, and of the Book of Mormon.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Megan Koncurat
No, of course not. We believe in serving all men, and the Church has many humanitarian aid programs. We also send missionaries all around the world to serve others and teach the gospel. Starting in May, I'll be leaving to serve a mission in Alaska. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Megan Koncurat
Our message is pretty simple: God loves us, and because He loves us He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to atone or pay the price for our sins. And the fullness of the gospel that Christ taught has been restored today by the Prophet Joseph Smith. Show more Show less
