Hi I'm H.T. Jones

I was born in Utah, moved to Texas for 7 years, then moved back to Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to play basketball, nerdy games like Magic: the Gathering and Munchkin, and I'm easy to spot in a crowd due to my height of 6'4".

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, and I stayed with it because it helps me think positively about life, especially since I lost an uncle who I love dearly in a plane explosion. The church also gives me comfort when the going gets tough. My father had a stroke before my uncle died and we hadn't fully gotten over the shock of it when we got the news about my uncle's death. I was making some very poor choices at the time and thought that this was the Lord's punishment for me for disobeying him. My friends from the church as well as some of the church's teachings helped me get through that rough part of my life and give me purpose to keep trying to live worthily. I know that the church is true, that I will see my uncle again, that the Savior's Atonement is available for anyone and everyone, and the Book of Mormon is a true book and another testament that Jesus is the Christ.

How I live my faith

I was a back-up organist for church meetings, I play piano, and I sometimes play music for choir. I'm currently serving a mission in Columbus, Ohio.
