Hi I'm Monica Figgins

I was born and raised in Utah. I have a mormon pioneer heritage that I love.

About Me

I am a wife, mom and grandma. I love to cook. (hate to clean it up though) I love cooking meals for my whole family. I love camping, even though I have graduated up to a trailer, I still call it camping. I love hiking in the mountains. I love love love gardening. I enjoy lots of flowers and vegetable gardening. I grow my own stuff to make lots of homemade salsa every fall. I love to travel. I love to see all the beauty around me in nature and that people and brought about through history.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I have a huge mormon pioneer heritage, I was born and raised in the church. I often wonder what my life would be like without the church. I am a mormon because I see the blessings of peace, and hope that this church brings to my life. People say our church is to restrictive. I love the commandments it gives us. I feel like they protect me and make me happy in life.

How I live my faith

I love to go to church every Sunday. I am currently serving in the cub scout program. I have a son serving a mission for the church right now and these young boys do fill the missing piece in my heart of missing my son. I love the youth of the church. I have had many opportunities to work with them. They make me happy. I love going to the temple. I try to get there every week. I feel peace and comfort there. I love the scriptures. I love to read them as stories and think of the people and who they were and how they lived there lives. I then compare them to me and my life to see evaluate what I am doing and what I am not.
