Hi I'm Paul

I wrote a book on a little-documented language, I love volleyball and ping pong, I compose lullabies, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have an identical twin and we're tied for number 3 of 10 children. I'm about to finish a degree in computer science. With the skills I've gained, I've created several web applications in my free time. I'm a self-taught musician, composing music since I was 14. I served a two-year mission in Iloilo, Philippines where I learned to speak Tagalog (Filipino) plus three other languages I'd never heard of before. I wrote and published a book on one of them called "The Giant Ilonggo Phrasebook" to help missionaries learn the language. As a student, I've worked part-time as a tutor for a beginning programming class.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have seen the difference following its teachings has made it my life and I love it. I was fortunate enough to be raised in a loving family that implemented Christ's teachings through modern-day prophets, and I'm grateful for the safety and peace I've found therein.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by applying the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Though I'm not perfect, I'm able to see progress as I repent through the power of the atonement of Jesus Christ. I also make a diligent effort to follow the teachings of the scriptures and modern-day prophets.
