Hi I'm Jameson Shirley

I grew up in a small town in rural Nevada. I'm about to serve a mission in Richmond Virginia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

In high school I played football and I wrestled. Both sports were a lot of fun. I went on to go to BYU for a semester, and I enjoyed all my classes. I learned about physics and astronomy, archaeology and biology, and a variety of other subjects. It was a lot of fun. I am now about to leave for two years to go to Virginia to teach everyone who wants to learn about the Gospel of Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I follow Christ. I don't do it because I grew up in this church. I don't do it because many of my friends do. I do it because I have felt His love in my life. God loves each and every one of us individually. This is why I follow Christ. I have received a testimony of this church through the Book of Mormon. It didn't come all at once. But as I read the book, and prayed about it, I have felt that it is correct. The feelings one gets while sincerely reading and praying are almost indescribable. The peace and comfort is almost unreal. This is why I am a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. This is why I follow Christ. I wish everyone could feel the love from God that I have. and that is the reason I am serving a mission teaching everyone who is willing to listen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in a variety of ways. I have spent a lot of time as a youth leader in my church, and I tried to be an example to those younger than me, just like others had been for me. In my hometown, the young men of my church do several service projects for those who stand in need. I remember cutting wood for elderly women, or pulling weeds, or any other task that anyone needed.
