Hi I'm Gini

I grew up in Orem, Utah. I like to read and write, and I play piano and cello. I want to be an Elementary teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read, and I write in my journal often. I play piano and cello, and someday want to learn how to play the harp. I love the mountains and love going on hikes. I like taking walks and going on runs. Generally, I like doing things outside. I also like playing board and card games. I like sunny days, but absolutely love rainy, cloudy and stormy weather. I am majoring in Elementary Education, and I hope to teach first grade someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS Church, but ultimately it has been my decision to stay a member. I believe everyone has their own conversion story, even if they are a born member. Early on I started going to church with my family, but later I started reading my scriptures and praying daily on my own, and and this helped me gain my own testimony of the gospel. The gospel gives me so much hope and comfort. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us, and that they only want us to be happy. Life can be hard, but the Lord is there to help us through our trials and become better people. Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we can become clean again. I am so grateful for this gospel and for everything I have because I have had it in my life.

How I live my faith

Growing up I was part of the youth presidencies, so I helped conduct lessons and meetings, and helped plan activities. I had fun going to youth activities. We participated in a lot of service activities. I've also been called as a Family History Consultant, and for a couple of months I taught the 8 year-olds in Primary. In high school I was in a club that focused on service, so we would do clothes drives or hold a community trunk-or-treat. For Valentine's one year we went to different grocery stores and handed out roses.
