Hi I'm Austin Davis

I grew up in Highland, Utah and I am currently a high school student.

About Me

I am a student and love learning. I have taken 3 years of German and enjoy speaking with others that speak German. I enjoy learning new things and every time I learn something new, I want to major in that subject. Currently it is Computer programming.

Why I am a Mormon

I follow the Church of Jesus Christ because of the light that it brings into my life. I find that I can turn to it whenever I am in a rough situation, and I can always feel a happiness about me as I search the scriptures and follow the teachings of Christ. I have a testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the gospel is not true and that Christ walked the earth and did what the bible said he did. Christ was the son of God. He suffered for our sins, bled, and died on the cross for all of us, so that we might one day come back to live in his presence. The Book of Mormon is a true book. What it says is true. The prophet Joseph Smith is a true prophet. He truly knelt down in the Sacred Grove and prayed to God. I know that he saw God the Father and his son Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith restored the church to the earth and restored the keys of the priesthood back to this earth. I follow the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know that it is true.

How I live my faith

As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I love to serve others. I have served in many different callings in the church and every one of them have served to strengthen me as an individual in my leadership and service opportunities. I am a youth, preparing myself to serve a full-time mission. I live in an area there are a lot of widows and so whenever it snows, I serve them by shoveling driveways and walkways.

What is faith?

Austin Davis
Faith is a huge principle that we believe in. Faith is something that you believe in that you can not physically see with your eyes. For example, if someone were to approach you and put their hands over your eyes, would you be able to see them? No. But they are there. That is a little like faith. You believe in something that is not really there, but that we believe is there. Mormons have faith in Christ and the Father, we believe that they are true personages with bodies of flesh and bone and that they exist, but I have not seen them. I can only have faith that they exist, until I see them. Show more Show less
