Hi I'm Ann

I am a wife, a mother of five and a grandmother to 17 (I am sure there will more) and a daughter.

About Me

I am a wife, mother of five and grandmother of 17. I am sure there will be a few more. I am also a daughter. I have had a wonderful life so far, with lots of happy events. I have been a member of the church all of my life, but neither my father nor my stepfather were and some members of my family have been less active. My father passed away when I was eight years old. My mother remarried a family friend two years later. My neighbors and friends were loving and supportive. Even though many of those near and dear to me were not associated with the church, I have always had a testimony and have felt the spirit in my life. In addition to raising my kids, I have been an English, speech and reading teacher as well as a debate coach in both high school and middle school. I have also taught piano and flute lessons and coached soccer at many levels including high school, competitive and recreational. I love the out of doors and sunshine. My favorite things to do are to play with my grandkids, work in my yard and play the piano or organ. My husband and I are heading to Santiago Chile to serve a mission. wE were just released from serving an Inner City mission and a Spanish-speaking ward and, previous to that, served in the Guadalajara mission. All have been amazing experiences.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe the Book of Mormon is the Word of God. I believe He has given us a prophet and apostles to help us return to live with Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be an honorable, kind and loving person. I love the song, "If the Savior Stood Beside Me'" and try to act how I would if He were there.
