Hi I'm Les Forslund

I grew up in Utah. I have lived in Denmark and four different states in the US. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a retired financial services representative. I am a father of four and and grandfather to thirteen.. I am a college graduate and an avid sports fan who has participated in golf, basketball, volleyball baseball, and softball. I coached my daughter in fast pitch softball and was her teams' biggest fan. My other passion is sports car racing which I have passed on to my two sons. I am a amateur geologist who loves reading maps.

Why I am a Mormon

My conversion about in my early twenties when I was challenged about my beliefs that had been part of me since my youth. I have come to know thru reading the Book of Mormon, studying Mormon doctrines and thru prayer to my Heavenly Father that God loves me for who I am. I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon from ancient plates through inspiration from God. I have compared his personal written words with his inspired translation and it is clear that Joseph Smith could not have written this beautiful book of his own knowledge and education. But even more importantly, I have done as the book suggests and have asked Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ if these things are true and have received unmistakable assurance that it is truly a second witness of the Savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have been a missionary and will be going on a foreign mission with my wife to work with young single adults. We currently teach a youth Sunday School class. I have been a local leader (Bishop) of a congregation and have taught Sunday School classes for adults.
