Hi I'm Edwin Calipa

I'm from the Philippines. I love to play basketball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a happy and a cheerful person. I love to play basketball with my friends. I also love to work with the missionaries of the church and share the gospel to others. I love to spend time in serving others.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a friend who is a member of the church. He introduced to me the gospel and tell me stories about the church. Later on, I decided to come to church myself to observe and learn for myself. Then, I met the missionaries, and I was taught more about the gospel. It wasn't easy for me, because my family is a devoted Catholic, and they didn't want me to be taught by the missionaries. But I did what the missionaries invited me to do, to pray for it. I prayed and felt a strong feeling in my heart to continue investigating the church, secretly. I also read the Book of Mormon, and it helped me to respect others, the importance of family and the marvelous plan of our Heavenly Father for us. And I know that the book is true. Eventually, I was baptized, and still a happy member of the church. And lastly, I know that families can be together forever, and that's one of the reasons why I chose to serve a full-time mission, because I want to be with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I serve my fellow young single adults in the church. I usually teach in our Sunday school class. I also work with the full-time missionaries from time to time. I'm happy to visit others members and friends during home teaching.
