Hi I'm Joe Nay

I love cat videos, waffles and my family. Music's my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Born in Salt Lake, raised in Georgia (and the Utah again for a bit) and now serving the Lord in the North Dakota Bismarck Mission! I went on a mission right out of High School and haven't regretted a moment. I'm the oldest of 4, and have the best 3 siblings I could ask for. I like music too. I've played piano starting when I was 8, guitar at 9, singing before I could speak, and I like playing and writing songs. I love sports too, hanging out with friends, and movies are kinda the best. What matters most to me though is my family (mah fam!) and anything that makes us all happy. Gotta love them! Yeah that's me.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in the church, I didn't really always know it was true. Now my parents raised me right, always helping me know that God was there for me. My first word was Jesus thanks to my mom, so that's evidence of how awesome she is. I always felt God in my life. I knew He was there, but I didn't have a real testimony of the restored Gospel. I came on my mission, because my Heavenly Father wanted me to, and I decided that if I'm telling people this church is true, I kinda need to know for myself. I then read the Book of Mormon, I prayed about it, and felt as sure as God was there, that that book is His word and scripture. I know this Church is the only complete Church on the Earth today. His gospel is restored. I can't deny what I felt, and so I'm sticking with this awesome Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints thing.

How I live my faith

I've been in the church my whole life, but as I've been on my mission, I've finally realized the reality and truth of it. I am so excited to share it with everyone I see. Gospel literally means "good news" and I don't know about you but good news makes me happy, so I try to make people happy. Every day we have the opportunity to share what we love, live and know with others, and I'm gonna keep doing that.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Joe Nay
Our purpose is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored Gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end. In reality, every missionary has felt that the message and truth of this Church is real, and they've seen it bless their lives and they want to share it with others. Basically we're young people that want to make everybody really happy. We go knocking on doors and talking to everyone we meet because our message is for everyone and it can help anyone. The world today seems like kind of a mess sometimes, and it's tough living in it, so missionaries proselyte to try to make it easier for people. Show more Show less
