Hi I'm Laurel Turley

I love reading, navy blue, polka dots and hiking! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm going to school to be a nutrition counselor. I was diagnosed with scoliosis when I was 10 and I now have metal bars in my back. I wear glasses and I love to read. I love to hike and I would highly recommend hiking Havasupai in the Grand Canyon in Arizona. My favorite color is navy blue and my favorite holiday is 4th of July.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised to be LDS and I was baptized when I was 8. When I was 12, I finished reading The Book of Mormon. I prayed to Heavenly Father to know if it is true and I got an answer that it IS true. After finding this truth, I knew Joseph Smith really did restore this church. As I have gone through trials in my life, I have come to know my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know He came to this Earth to set the perfect example for us. I also know that He suffered for our sins, that He was crucified and that He was resurrected 3 days later. Through Jesus Christ, we can overcome sins and weaknesses in this life. The gospel is everything to me.

How I live my faith

I pray everyday to my Heavenly Father. I also read my scriptures in the morning before my day begins. I've been a Primary Teacher, a Visiting Teaching Coordinator, a Ward Missionary and a 2nd Counselor in the Relief Society.

What is faith?

Faith is believing and trusting in something that you have not seen or that cannot be proved. You show faith by the way you live. Show more Show less
