Hi I'm Kimber Cope

I grew up in California. I love the piano, ukulele, swing dancing, and doing anything fun and crazy! I am a Mormon and I love it!

About Me

I love music, dancing, and the gospel! I have finished a year at BYU-Idaho studying Special Education but will be transferring to Utah Valley University to start a dental hygiene program. I am currently serving as a full-time missionary in Minneapolis, Minnesota until February 2018.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family and was taught all of the basic principles and fundamentals of Christ's Gospel. However, by no means did I believe everything that I heard. What I had to do to find out for myself if what I had been told was true was to take my questions to our Heavenly Father. I had read in James 1:5, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." I truly believe this promise. I asked God if what I had been told, what I had been learning in church, and what I had been reading in the Book of Mormon was true. During the time I had been asking these questions I was facing some pretty difficult challenges. My mom was battling breast cancer and my brother was constantly in the hospital fighting for his life. As I kept going to church, reading, and praying about the Book of Mormon, life didn't seem so dark, and a feeling of peace and comfort entered my life despite all of the challenges. This was my answer. I knew that God was mindful of me and what I was going through. And so, I made a promise to God that "I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them." (1 Nephi 3:7) Because I know that this gospel is truly Christs restored gospel on the Earth, I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded me. There is no other thing that has brought me more happiness than serving our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I am Mormon because of the doctrines and principles that are taught in the church. They ultimately bring us pure happiness, peace, and joy. And who wouldn't want that?! I have been blessed to be serving a full-time mission in Minneapolis, Minnesota and have been blessed to meet some wonderful people who are ready to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. By teaching them about Jesus Christ and what he taught we are able to learn and grow together in order to be the best that we can be. I am blessed to be able to see the happiness and the light that this Gospel brings being brought to those who are in need of it.
