Hi I'm Madeline

I grew up in both Arizona and Utah. I work hard at being someone that others can trust and love. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

During high school, I participated in orchestra, choir, lacrosse, and volleyball. One of my favorite things to do is cook, but I don't think I could do well as a professional chef. I'm the oldest of four children, and I work hard to help out. For the last year and a half, I have been attending college, but I am taking a break to serve a full-time mission in the Alabama Birmingham Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this gospel is true. This gospel has provided me with so many opportunities and blessings. When I was scared and seemingly alone, I was able to find comfort in the scriptures. The other members of my church stuck by me and offered their help whenever I was struggling. It hasn't always been easy, and it seems that I am prone to laziness, but through this church I have found so much love and comfort. During my first year of college, I was so depressed and alone. I had no idea what I was doing or why I was feeling upset. One day, I received a sudden urge to get on my knees and pray. I prayed with everything I had, and asked if God actually knew who I was. The answer was immediate. The most comforting feeling of peace came over me, and although my life didn't change instantly, I was able to find help. I know who I am, and I know God knows who I am. I am me. I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Ever since I was twelve years old, I have had leadership roles and responsibilities in my church. I served in the presidencies of my youth classes, and it was my job to reach out to those that felt discouraged. There were many times when I would help plan activities and trips for the youth in my community. Lately, I have been teaching the four and five year olds in my ward.
