Hi I'm Victoria

I grew up in Alabama, Idaho and South Carolina. I am a professional visual artist and have my own art business. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of 6 grown children, and 1 niece that I love like my own. I have 16 grandchildren and another on the way. My mother was a Mormon and my father was a Methodist. I was raised to love the Lord, and respect all people, offering love and care whenever needed. I was raised in a very musical family, and we all sang and performed in churches, state fairs and other venues. We were taught to perform our best always, as each performance was a gift we give to those who watch and listen. I learned to play the guitar at 10 years of age so I could sing to my grandmother before she died. My final gift of love and music to my greatest fan. I won many art awards while growing up and mom and dad encouraged it with classes and my own spot on the fridge to display it. When college years came that is the subject I majored in, though it ended before completion due to my marriage and the arrival of a beautiful baby girl followed by 5 others. With my children's support, I went back to college and finished my degree as a visual artist, with emphasis on sculpting, painting and teaching. Being a wife, mom and grandmother is the most important and significant work I do. No other accolade needed.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because after seeing what not having the gospel in your life can be like, with a chaos, and turmoil filled existence, compared to the peace and joy that can be yours as a faithful member of this church, there was no question what choice I would make.

How I live my faith

While my children were young, I wanted them to know what was important, so they went with me as I chaired and co-chaired various events around our city. They have watched me serve the Lord by accepting all callings from Nursery leader, president of our young women' south organization, to President of our women's organization, and now they are cheering us on as my husband and I accept a two year mission to Taipei, Taiwan, to serve in the temple there where marriages and sacred and eternal ordinances can be performed for all God's children.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

A father and a mother are the leaders, helpers, nurturers, teachers and loving examples to their children. The man is not above the woman or the woman above the man, but serve the family equally. Their priority is to raise healthy, educated and spiritually in tune children, blessed with the knowledge of who they are, and what their purpose is in this ever changing world. As children of a loving God with endless potential. Show more Show less
