Hi I'm Jacob Nesom

I grew up in Canada, I am serving a mission in Toronto, Canada. I will soon be serving in California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy music and dancing, however I am definitely not a professional. I love both looking at and creating art. Including Drawing, Painting, and coloring. I play trumpet and I love to listen to all sorts of music. I also enjoy training and riding horses, and designing and building leather goods. Currently I am serving a mission in Canada while I wait for my visa so I can serve in California

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of this Gospel. What does that mean? First of all I have a testimony that Joseph smith was visited by God the Father, and His Son Jesus Christ when Joseph went out that day to pray, asking for an answer about which church he should join. I can testify that there is no way that Joseph could have stumbled upon the Gold Plates for no reason. He did not just stumble upon them. He was told where they were by Heavenly Beings. Once he did have them (the Plates) and was translating them into what is now the Book of Mormon (Abridged by Mormon the Prophet). There is no Physical way that the Prophet Joseph Smith could have made up the Book of Mormon. He did not have the education that would be needed for such a task. Its amazing how everyone believed that Joseph Smith had the Gold Plates (which is Why he was so persecuted). But many would believe that he did not truly translate the Book of Mormon. I testify that he did truly translate the Book of Mormon with the help from God. That the Book is true and it contains the fullness of the everlasting Gospel. I know and can testify of all these things because I have studied and Prayed for myself to know whether or not its all true. I received an answer from God and I will not deny my testimonies that I have shared.

How I live my faith

Before serving as a missionary for the Lord, I taught 4 year old children about the gospel. I did this with a good friend of mine each Sunday for six months before coming on a mission. I strive to maintain a positive attitude and be kind to those around me.
