Hi I'm Rachel

I grew up in Salt Lake. I love being with children, playing my violin, and singing. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a BYU student studying Human Development. I love learning about how children develop, and what I can do to better give children an environment where they can best thrive and grow. I also love anything musical; I love to play my violin and sing. In my spare time, I enjoy playing games with family and friends, watching movies, and taking hikes in the mountains near my home. I also enjoy laughing with others, and believe that you have the choice of a happy attitude or not.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the way I feel when I am serving and obeying God's commands. I feel God's love for each of His children as I strive to lift them up, testifying to me that I am doing what I am supposed to. I also have found that as I show exact obedience to the commandments I have been given, I am able to find a happiness that surpasses any kind of happy the world has yet to show me. The joy and peace I feel when living His great gospel is something I could never give away.

How I live my faith

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I strive to live in such a way that I can exemplify my Savior and all he has done for me. I look for ways to serve and uplift those around me. To be kind and loving to all I come in contact with is something I am constantly working towards. By showing love and serving others, I can give back something to my Savior, as I feel he has given me everything.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

One of the best ways of increasing faith is to begin having the desire of faith. Desires lead to pure, virtuous intents, which allow the Holy Spirit to touch your heart. This intent of growing faith must then also be put into action. We tend to receive answers after we practice in our faith (Ether 12:6). By desiring and practicing having faith in Christ and His atonement, we are able to grow our faith past what we see as our potential. Show more Show less
