Hi I'm Larry

I grew up in Utah, I was raised on a small farm. I have served in the U.S. Air Force I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am retired, my wife and I have been married for 45 years and have 4 children and 14 grandchildren ranging in age from 21 to 1. I like to fly fish, garden, golf, watch the Utah Jazz and especially learn of my ancestors by doing genealogy. I fine it very interesting to see what they went through in their lives that I can use to make my life better or to just understand where I came from.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints or "Mormons" because I have found that I am extremely happy when I am doing what my Father In Heaven wants me to do. I love the fact that I have the opportunity to listen to a living prophet who gives me guidance on what is happening in the world around me. I love that my family is a forever family, that we know that we will be together after this life.

How I live my faith

I was involved with the 2002 Winter Olympics on a rescue team organized to provide extrication services should a mass casualty event take place. Thankfully it never did. I have taught in various church organizations working with youth and adults and have served in several leadership positions. I have also served as president of a national Fire Chief's organization and have been involved with setting up major conferences, banquets and awards presentation ceremonies.

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Larry
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was founded my Jesus Christ. It is the same church today as the Savior created during his ministry on the Earth, after the Saviors death the Apostles held the leadership positions in the Church with Peter being the "President" or "Head" of the Church. Following the death of Christ's Apostles many of the teachings of the Savior were deleted, added to or otherwise changed to the point that the Church that Christ established was no longer on the Earth. Jesus Christ and His Father appeared to the Prophet Joseph Smith Jr. and restored those truth's of the gospel that had been lost and Christ's Church was restored to the Earth just as it was during the Saviors ministry.
