Hi I'm Caitlyn Wilbur

I grew up in the western states (mostly Nevada). I'm currently deferred from University to serve a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm youngest of 3 girls in my family. I have attended 2 years of college so far. I like sports, especially baseball and basketball and being outdoors but I can also stay inside if I get enthralled with a good book. I like writing in my spare time, mostly fictional stories and moments in my life to remember later. My favorite color is yellow. Also I have my own dog but he doesn't stay with me while I'm at school.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ. But it wasn't until I went to college that I really understood and chose to go to church for myself. I felt the love that the Lord and his Son has for me and I prayed to them more. I testify that it is possible to talk to our Heavenly Father and that He will answer our prayers in His time. I've been so blessed to have this gospel a part of my life since I was born. I know that we are all here on earth to be tried and tested so that we can gain strength and a testimony of Christ by choosing it for ourselves. My life has been blessed when I've chosen to follow the commandments and the words of our living prophets. When I'm living the way that we should, I have this warm, happy feeling inside that I know what I'm doing, and who I'm choosing to follow is right. I may never know what my life would have been like without God and His gospel but I know with a surety having His gospel in my life will forever bless me and I'm eternally grateful that I've always had it in my life. And I only wish I can bring others to the love of the Lord. It's why we're here; To return back to Him.

How I live my faith

I've had many callings in the church. Some with more responsibility such as being a 1st counselor to help all the women in the ward. Whether that help be to listen to a problem that they are having or serving them by helping with something in their life. I also have been a chorister, where I lead the music when we sing in church. I've also been a visiting teacher, in which I'm assigned a couple girls in the ward to talk to and make sure they are doing okay. And to help and serve them when needed.
