Hi I'm Rodrigo Alegre

I was born in Peru, but raised in the states. I'm an Athlete, Gearhead, Aspiring Engineer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the son of two wonderful Peruvian parents and currently serving the Lord on a mission. I love cooking, dancing, playing guitar, play actual football (soccer) and Basketball. I'm really interested in becoming a Aerospace Engineer and plan to attend BYU in 2018 when I return. Some of my favorite things are Star Wars, Dancing to Salsa, Watching the Champions League, Listening to all types of music and trying anything new.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew in the church I and no other experiences from non-member outside of public school. There have been trials put in my path in which I have failed, but there have also been times where I have succeeded in making not only my family happy but my father in heaven as well. As I strive to seek and learn more from my Heavenly Father, because even when you're a mormon you don't know everything; it's a continual and humbling process that makes me not only happy but the people around me as well. I am a mormon because I've never had any doubts in my faith, I am not trying to earn my way into heaven but to preparing myself for it by serving my fellow man. I know I'm young and still have much to learn but being mormon isn't just a religion it's a way of life, it's my personal way to grow and progress. Seeing others smile is just a bonus ;)

How I live my faith

I'm currently serving the lord and his people in the Modesto, California Mission. I do not know what awaits me but I'm prepared to be taught from not only people and my experiences but to be molded into the person I know my Father in Heaven sees me as.

What is the priesthood?

Rodrigo Alegre
The priesthood is the authority to act in God's name it is the same authority used when the original Church was established by Jesus Christ. It was not lost forever, rather it has been restored here today on this Earth, for us the children of God to use to carry out his work. To act in God's name seems almost impossible but we do not act of our own accord but we align our purpose with God's and if it be his will, it will be done. Show more Show less
