Hi I'm Tara

I grew up in San Diego. I love to play sports, surf, and snowboard. I'm a student at Brigham Young University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from San Diego, California and have lived there my entire life. I have 2 older brothers, an older sister, a brother and sister-in-law, and a younger brother. I miss the beach and warm weather as I now reside in Provo, Utah as I attend school at Brigham Young University. My major is Medical Laboratory Sciences and I plan to become a physician's assistant. When I'm not studying for school, I am playing sports. I love to play soccer, volleyball, lacrosse, and aside from surfing in the summer, I enjoy snowboarding in the winter. I love school and the spiritual environment that is present at BYU, go cougs!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know I am here for a purpose. The gospel brings hope into my life because I know that there is a plan for me creating by my loving Father in Heaven. Being a Mormon encourages me to be my best and trust in God in good times and bad. I love the joy that comes from knowing that I am a daughter of God and He loves me beyond anything that I can imagine. Because of that love and the sacrifice of His son Jesus Christ, I can become more than I ever could without His help. I am a Mormon because living the gospel improves my life and brings me joy.

How I live my faith

Growing up in an area without many Mormons, I had lots of friends of different faiths and even without any faith at all. In high school, I tried my best to include my friends in many of the activities at church to make them realize that they were important to not only me, but to their Heavenly Father. Serving others and showing them love is the best way for me to live my faith because I get to share with others through my actions the hope and happiness that the gospel brings to my life.
