Hi I'm Erika

I am from Boise, Idaho. I was baptized when I was 16. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently attending Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I am studying human development as a freshman. I love playing the piano and expressing my love for music. I was baptized when I was 16 years old. I am now preparing to serve a mission in San Fernando, California.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up, I always had a belief in God and Jesus Christ because of my non-denominational Christian background. My mother passed away when I was 8 years old, and this caused my family and me a lot of grief. It was truly a tragic period of our lives. But, when I heard of the restored Gospel from a dear friend during my sophomore year of high school, I finally found the light that I had been searching for. I was baptized two months after I took the missionary discussions. My life has not been anywhere near easy since that day, but it has been so much richer and sweeter because of my conversion to the Lord's Church. I have chosen to serve a mission because I want others to hear of the "good news" of the Gospel, just like I did. I want them to experience the same incredible happiness that I do. I love this Church and know it is Christ's true Church on the Earth today. I know the Book of Mormon blesses lives because it has blessed mine beyond comprehension. I know Jesus Christ lives and that He and Heavenly Father love each of us more than we can begin to imagine. I know that true happiness only comes from living this Gospel to the fullest and I am so glad that I have heard the "good news".

How I live my faith

In my college ward, I serve as a leader for the female students. I am able to teach them lessons during church, and visit them frequently throughout the week. I also plan activities for my ward in order to unify the members and create fun memories for them.
