Hi I'm Sierra

I am a Utah/Californian BYU student studying business. I'm a humanitarian, theater lover, book-aholic and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a child, I spent many hours at the beach with my family and outdoors with my friends. Although I struggled to read as a child, I am now a total book-aholic. I love to read about cultures, adventures, and about the gospel. I am so grateful for the guidelines and commandments that have helped me as I have made my life's decisions.

Why I am a Mormon

My dad met the missionaries when he was a teenager and was baptized into the LDS church soon after. I grew up learning of the truths of this gospel, however, as a teenager myself, I learned personally through prayer and studying that this IS Christ's Church. A leader had challenged me to try out the gospel, to live it and then pray to God for a confirmation that this is His Church. For a couple of weeks I tried it. I read my scriptures, tried to act as Christ would and prayed. I didn't receive an answer right away, in fact my answer only came a couple of months later as I was comforting a friend who was going through a hard time. As we were talking, I felt a sweet peaceful feeling telling me to tell her of God's love for her. After that conversation, I sat on my couch to quietly think and the feeling returned, testifying to me the God loved me just as much and that this church was His.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by choosing to serve others through humanitarian work, teaching 6-year olds about Christ, and dedicating 18 months of my life serving a mission in Canada to helping others learn and feel God's love for them.
