Hi I'm Kathy

My husband and I are going to Scotland/Ireland to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

About Me

We have 3 sons and 3 daughters. As a family we have backpacked in the Teton Backcountry for many years. We have run into moose, bears and porcupines. We love nature including the mountains, the flowers, the trees and the many gloriuos sounds of water. My degree is in homemaking and I still can't cook. My renewal of my teaching certificate was in computers. Excel is my favorite application.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were members of this church and I was taught as a youth the truthfulness of the Gospel that Jesus Christ taught while he was on the earth. It is a plan of happiness, a plan of salvation and a plan that brings families together. There is nothing that makes me happier than to know my family will be with me in the Eternities. My Savior and Redeemer is the Jesus Christ that lived on this earth 2000 years ago. My sins are paid for by his Atonement if I am willing to repent and live the commandments. I know my Heavenly Father love me, knows me, has helped me in many areas of my life and given me many tender mercies. I cannot thank Him enough.

How I live my faith

My belief is what controls my whole outlook on life. What time I get up, what I eat, what I drink, how I spend my time, what I do on the Sabbath, how I dress, what I read, how I try to treat people and what music I listen to. Since we have loved backpacking we have been able to take many young women and young men into the backcountry and teach them how to pack their backpack, what kinds of food to take, help them appreciate the beauties of the creation and tell uplifting stories around a campfire while we cook s'mores. This has strengthened the resolve of many young people in their desire to live their beliefs. Teaching and working with the young women in my area has been the highlight of my life. I love my testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel.
