Hi I'm Heidi

I was born in Kentucky and adopted by the two greatest people in Utah. I love the Culinary Arts. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Louisville Kentucky and then adopted by the two greatest people ever. My parents adopted five children in total. I was on culinary arts competition team for 2 years. I competed in DECA and won 1st in state with a business plan my friend and I wrote. We went on to the international competition and were in the top 20 finalists. I love music and sang in choirs for 5 years. I had the amazing opportunity to sing in General Conference. Currently, I am preparing to leave to serve a full time Mission in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I believe that I still have a "conversion story" and that it continues to grow stronger day by day. Everyone has trials and hard days but I have found that those trials and hard days are made easier when I have been obeying God's word. I have grown to know and love my Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost by living the Gospel that is taught at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It has brought so much peace, love, joy, and comfort in my life.

How I live my faith

I attend a local young single adults ward and I love it. I learn so much from the other young adults. I enjoy learning the gospel with some many people who understand ,a little bit more, what life is like for me right now. There is a bond and love I feel there that I will cherish forever. I also attend the Institute of religion in my area. Attending institute and being taught by amazing instructors has made my testimony of Heavenly Father's Gospel flourish. It is a place of peace and refuge from the often harsh, cruel, and confusing world. It brings a lot of joy into my week.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

I think that people are confusing our respect and gratitude for the prophet Joseph Smith as worship. We only worship God and His son Jesus Christ. We do have much respect for Joseph Smith for his key role in restoring Christ's true church again to the Earth. Never in any of our services or meetings do we worship Joseph Smith but we do teach of what he did and what he sacrificed for Christ's church. Show more Show less
