Hi I'm Meg

I am a college student. I dream of becoming an interior designer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently attending school a Brigham Young University. I love to sew, draw, and go on adventures! I am the middle of five kids and I love it! Having older and younger siblings is the best. I would love to major in accounting and do something with interior design down the road, but we will see how that goes. I participated in student council all throughout high school, and I am currently participating in BYU Student Association to continue that interest. I was also very involved in the theater and music programs in high school so I do a lot of singing in my free time to stay on top of those hobbies!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon, however, I have chosen to live this gospel and to remain in the church because I love it. No one is making me stay an active member. I choose to be. There has been nothing more comforting or consistent in my life than the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have developed a strong testimony of the things that I have learned since I was a baby to now and my testimony continues to grow as I continue to study the scriptures, go to church each Sunday, and live the things that Jesus Christ has taught to each of us. I witness little miracles and blessings each and every day from our merciful Father in Heaven, despite my flaws and shortcomings. I am a Mormon because what I believe and know to be true has helped me to put everything in life into perspective. When I am feeling lost, I am reminded that the Savior, Jesus Christ, is always right beside me--feeling my exact pains and sorrows, and that Heavenly Father loves me. When I am going through a tough trial, I know that Christ is there to strengthen me and that in the end I will be able to learn and grow from that experience. I know that God has a plan for us and that he wants us to be happy. The Gospel of Jesus Christ and being a Mormon brings me more happiness than anything else in this life. I have chosen to be a Mormon because I love my Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ, and I love how this gospel and knowledge of it makes me feel.

How I live my faith

My first semester at BYU I had the opportunity to be Relief Society President of my ward. I absolutely loved that calling. It was just what I needed to get to know the girls in my ward and to serve others. Right now in my new ward I serve others through visiting teaching, performing random acts of kindness, and just talking to others about their day! It always feels good when someone reaches out to me, especially when they don't know what trials I may be going through, and I love that I can return the favor by reaching out to others! Service is a perfect way to forget about the struggles and frustrations of life and it helps me to put things into perspective.
