Hi I'm Chiwun Jacob Chan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am referred to as Jacob. I was born in Hawaii then moved to California when I was four. My family did not do well financially; however, looking back I am glad that I was born in this situation. I had to work hard to get what I wanted and I learned much during my childhood and teenage years. I did band for nine years and I was able to march in the 2015 Rose Parade. Now, I go to college and hope to become something in the field of science. Some of my interests right now include: YouTube, movies, and hanging out with my friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I want to be. I really want to improve myself in all my areas and with Christ and this gospel, I can! This gospel pushes me to become better mentally and spiritually. Soon, I hope to be going on a mission soon and bring others to this great gospel.

How I live my faith

I usually tend to keep to myself unless I know them, but in the church I do what is called of me and I try to do my best. Before I came to college I was in a lot of youth leadership roles. I was an overseer of the teenage group of boys. I was also in a counsel in which we organized activities for the youth of the church. Now I am in college and I help with indexing which is family history related material. I also do my home teaching. Home teaching is two men visiting members of the ward to check up on them and see how they are doing in life in general. I try to live in a way that will be acceptable to God and myself. I pray and read the scriptures faithfully everyday. I strive to improve myself little by little everyday. If I do my best I know that Christ will make up the difference.
