Hi I'm Bev Armantrout

I was raised in Utah in a Mormon family. I like to garden and learn about nutrition. I love spending time with my family.

About Me

I am a recent widow. My family includes a son and daughter-in-law and two granddaughters. I value education and have a degree in elementary education, and also one in business management. I was fortunate to not have to work while we were raising our son.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was raised in the Mormon church (the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints), and being a church member has been the tradition in my family for several generations, I have still wanted to examine my beliefs and feelings about the church so that I can know for myself that I continue to be active in the church not just because it's the tradition in my family, but because I sincerely believe that the teachings of the church are true. Over many years I have given it much thought and prayer. I have tested the promises made in the scriptures, including the Book of Mormon, and have found them to be consistent with my experiences in trying to live according to the commandments. My greatest gifts in life come from the blessings of the gospel of Jesus Christ as it's administered through the priesthood authority found in the Mormon church. These blessings include the promise that, because of the atonement of Jesus Christ, I can be forgiven and healed and will also be resurrected. They include the promise that I can live with my family again after we die. They include the wonderful gift of being guided by the Spirit of the Lord, or the Holy Ghost. Living the teachings of the Mormon church makes me happy and gives me hope. I love and value truth, and I feel that the teachings of the Mormon church offer me a fullness of truth.

How I live my faith

I have decided to serve a mission for my church and know it will help me to stay busy and focus on serving others. In the past I have worked with the youth in my church, and also with the women's organization.
