Hi I'm Delaney

I grew up mostly in Las Vegas, Nevada. I have been called to serve as a missionary in the Bulgaria Sofia mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy running, baking, long boarding and traveling. I am the youngest of 4 children and feel so blessed to be a part of my wonderful family. I am a college student studying public health and am loving the opportunity I have to learn new things every day. I love spending time with my family and friends and I can't wait to be a missionary!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know without a doubt that the LDS church contains a true and perfect gospel. It is a church headed by Christ our Savior, redeemer, and brother, who I love. I was born into a family that was and is strong in the church. I feel as if there was never a time in my life that I doubted the truthfulness of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. If I had to trace my testimony back to where it started though, I would say it began to grow in a seemingly small and silly way when I was 8 years old. When I was younger I was scared of rollercoasters. One day my aunt took me and a few cousins to a theme park. I was terrified, but I didn't want to be a scaredy cat so I went along; I would just have to grin and bear it. As the time came to go on the first ride, I was petrified. It came to my mind that I could pray. I silently prayed that I would be safe on that ride and that nothing bad or scary would happen. I was comforted, went on the ride, and all was well. This pattern of prayer repeated before every ride I went on that day. From that day I knew that God loved me. He loved me, an 8 year old little girl, enough to listen to my prayers and comfort me before each amusement park ride I went on. What a trivial little thing! But that's how much he loves and cares for me and every one of his children. Through scripture study, constant prayer, and keeping God's commandments, any question or doubt about the Church or my life in general has been answered. I know that God loves me and wants me to ask for help. He has such a desire to give each of His children answers to their prayers because he loves us each. I'm grateful that I have been able to form a relationship with my Father in Heaven and His son Jesus Christ. The relationship I have with each of them makes me want to do exactly what they ask of me. Being Mormon helps me live the way They want me to live and it brings me peace and happiness.

How I live my faith

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I have had many opportunities to live my faith. I have done jobs or callings in my church working with the youth, planning activities, and working with the women of the church. I have also tried to be an example of Christ and His Church through the way I talk, dress, and act. As I make an effort to do these things, and keep God's commandments I form a greater relationship with my Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ.
