Hi I'm Rylee Steadman

I live in Idaho Falls, Idaho. I studied for a semester at BYU-I and have received my mission call to serve in Lisbon, Portugal.

About Me

So...what about me? Who am I? Well, I am a Mormon! I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love the outdoors. Skiing and snowboarding are definitely my favorite activities along with drawing, painting, singing, and piano. I went to a semester of college up at BYU-I and loved it! There was so much to learn and grow from. I am now preparing and trying to patiently wait to serve my mission as a sister missionary in Lisbon, Portugal. I leave March 30th and am so excited for the day to be able to teach those who need the light of the gospel in their lives. This time of preparation and waiting has taught me so much and has helped me grow to become even more ready to leave for a year and a half.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? I am a Mormon because its what brings me the most happiness. There is a certain peaceful and uplifting feeling when I am living what His gospel has brought into my life. That feeling helps me know that I am never alone. I know He's here for me and always listening. When I keep my Heavenly Father and my brother Jesus Christ close in my heart and thoughts, I feel happier than I could ever be. Even in my darkest moments, I found happiness only through the light of the gospel in my life. Because I am a Mormon, I can know that I can live with my family forever Because I am a Mormon, I always know that if I am worthy that I will always have Heavenly Father's spirit and guidance with me. I am a Mormon because I know its true through the experiences I have gone through. I am a Mormon because The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true!

How I live my faith

I grew up with a family who have these same beliefs. However, there was a period of time in which my family was less active. During that period of time is, ironically, when I decided that I wanted to be baptized. After deciding this, my family and I all became active once again in the church. I now realize how truly important the decision of baptism was for me and how important it is for everyone else. It can make such a huge impact on both the individual being baptized and those around them. I live my faith by continually going to church each Sunday and living the principles that I am taught. I also strive to be the best example I can be when around others by living by my standards and beliefs. Lastly, I am now on a mission right now studying and learning to preach the gospel. It is a sacrifice, but a sacrifice worth serving away from home for a year and a half.
