Hi I'm Ryan Goodwin

I'm from Las Vegas. I race motocross. I love snowboarding. I am serving in the Washington Yakima Mission. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 22 years old, born and raised in Las Vegas, and I am currently serving the people of the Washington Yakima Mission. My mission so far has been incredible. I love the people I have been blessed with to meet and the experiences I have had because of my calling. Though I miss racing and snowboarding the blessings of my mission far outweigh the time spent away from friends and family. The gospel has blessed my life in an infinite amount of ways and the knowledge I have gained of the Savior blesses my life with peace and joy that only the Savior can bring. I love motocross and since about 3 years old. I spent almost every weekend racing somewhere in this beautiful country. Some of my favorite racing include off-road racing as well as motocross that can be seen at almost every motocross track around the country on any given weekend. When racing started to slow down a little bit in my life I decided it was time to give another sport a try. So I had a few friends invite me to go snowboarding with them and almost immediately fell in love all over again with another sport. When I return home from my mission in February of 2018 I also would love to get more serious about mountain biking and generally any action sports. If it has wheels and jumps I'm more than likely willing to try it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this is the one true church. I was not the most active member growing up and as I started to become more active I was able to find the truth in personal prayer and study. I realized in my time in school the importance and need to serve a mission and now I'm blessed with the opportunity to serve. Through constant prayer and studying the scriptures I continue to find answers to the questions I ask my Heavenly Father each day. I am beyond grateful for the atonement and the power it brings through the Savior, Jesus Christ, and I know that through Him we can return to live with our Heavenly Father again.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving in the Washington Yakima mission and love what I get to do each and every day. Some days are slower than others but you can almost always find simple blessings scattered throughout even the slowest days. I read my scriptures daily and pray an unknown amount of times a day. I love my calling and look forward to trying to magnify it everyday.
