Hi I'm Braydon

I have lived in Utah my whole life. I love playing sports and anything outdoors. I am Mormon.

About Me

I am college student. At first it was really difficult for me to attend class regularly. I took many semesters off and never had the desire to go. I finally found the courage to finish my degree but I still have a lot of schooling before I get to the profession I want. I was baptized just over a year ago and am the only member of my family to be part of the church. I love the gospel with all my heart, but am often afraid to share it with my family around. I recently told my family my decision to serve a mission and have not received much support from them, but still I have been able to keep the faith through the love and support of the savior.

Why I am a Mormon

In I high school I had always found it hard to find joy in everyday tasks. I had many friends and I like to think I was pretty popular; but still I was unhappy. I was a member of the catholic religion and was familiar with the idea of prayer. One day when I thought I couldn't handle the monotony of life anymore, I knelt down to pray. I prayed for anything to make my life have a purpose. I needed help. I had always felt like something was missing in my life and I prayed to know what that was. That same night I was presented a Book of Mormon from one of my friends and I was immediately filled with a sense of peace and love. I knew that my heavenly father loves me and didn't want me to feel worthless and un-needed anymore. It only took me to get over my own pride before he would present me with the answer. All I needed to do was ask.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith to the best ability I can. I find the best was to spread Christ's light is through example. I am a ward missionary and enjoy going out with full time missionary's to teach and council investigators.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Braydon
No. Mormons are not required to serve a mission. Men are encouraged to go out and serve, but it is their decision to go. Many members of the church find joy in bringing others to christ and that is their motivate to serve. For me: I have chosen to serve a mission because I love the book of mormon and I want to learn all I can from it. The gospel of Christ brings such great blessing to people and I am looking forward to seeing it first hand. Show more Show less
