Hi I'm Josh

I'm from Utah. I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

I'm a computer programmer. I've designed many different programs and apps. Programming is very interesting work and I can't think of a better profession for me. My dream is to become a video game programmer. I've always had a passion playing video games. I like playing console games, but I also like to play computer games. I enjoy being outdoors, especially during the summer. I like to long-board, go on hikes, and bicycle around town. I love animals, the environment and all of God's creations. Last year I became vegan, and I have been vegan for 6 months. I have my Associates degree in Software Development. I'm currently a full time college student in progress of earning my B.A. in computer science. I have a high school diploma, including a certificate in Advanced Composites. Last year I got married to a return missionary. When we first met I had been inactive from church for 7 years, but that didn't scare her away! I also had a nasty habit of smoking cigarettes. As soon as I met her I knew she was something special. I had never met a girl like her before. Little by little I began growing closer to her and the church. A year later we were married in the temple!

Why I am a Mormon

I know the Book of Mormon is true. I've read it for the first time last year and it has directly answered many of my prayers. His gospel has helped me to overcome challenges in my life that I didn't believe were possible to defeat. I know that I've experienced God's grace in my life. I know that Jesus Christ is our Lord. I know he died for all of our sins! His example has influenced me so greatly. God has a plan for all of us. His gospel has brought such great joy and happiness to my life. I didn't know what I was missing out on all these years. I'm thankful that He has brought me back to His church.

How I live my faith

When I was reactivated in the church (September 2014) I had ward missionaries that would visit me every week with a lesson from Preach My Gospel. Soon after the missionaries stopped their weekly visits I was assigned a home teaching companion and we taught two different families once a month a lesson from the Ensign. Last year I received the calling of secretary of the elders quorum. As secretary I help the president and his councilors prepare home teaching assignments. Once a month we also go throughout our ward to see if any members are in need of help.
