Hi I'm Paige

I grew up in California. I will be serving a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently in my second semester in college, and I plan on getting a degree in Art History to become a museum coordinator. I love to paint, draw, write, and do any creative activity that I can think of. I am also learning Spanish to prepare for my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I absolutely love the gospel of Jesus Christ, and I have faith that the church is true. I have grown up in the church, and even though I've had ups and downs with trying to grasp it's teachings, I know in my heart that it is true and that it is good. It just gives me so much joy when I follow it's teachings, and I can really feel my Heavenly Father's love when I study it and share it with others.

How I live my faith

Right now I am waiting to go on my mission to Santiago, Chile on May 11. I don't currently hold any callings in the church and I am still trying to get into the swing of things here after I just got home from my first semester of college. I have been studying the Book of Mormon diligently and also going to classes for the church to learn more about the scriptures and prepare for my calling as a missionary.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Paige
No, no one is technically "required" to serve a mission. For girls, it is completely optional, it is totally up to them to choose if they want to serve. Generally the young men are much more strongly suggested to serve a mission, as it says in the Book of Mormon that all "able-bodied young men" should go, but if they choose not to go they are not going to be kicked out of the church.
