Hi I'm Melanie

I was born and raised in Utah, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a great man and I have 3 great sons who have given me great daughters-in-laws. I am also a grandmother to some of the cutest kids around. I enjoy spending time with my family. I like to camp (in my travel trailer) and ride ATV's. I enjoy sitting around a campfire and singing while my husband plays the guitar. I also like to read and window shop with my sisters-in-laws. I like to travel with family and friends to places that are close to home.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon is what my life is about. I don't remember a time when I didn't believe what I was beIng taught. I have a testimony that the gospel was restored to the earth through Joseph Smith and that he is a prophet of God. I know that we a have a Prophet on the earth today. I have a testimony that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and that He is my Savior. When I have needed Him, He has been there for me and has wrapped me in His loving arms. I am thankful for the atonement. I am greatful for the blessings I have received as I have followed the commandments.

How I live my faith

I grew up in a family that is very active, so I have been involved in the church all of my life. I have been in primary with the children as the chorister, teacher and president and was blessed to be a counselor in the stake primary presidency where I associated with many great women. I have served with the young women in my ward for many years and have learned a lot from their examples. Associating with the youth in their activities is great fun. I enjoy going to girls camp with them every year. You can learn lots of thing from sitting around the camp fire listening to them. I have learned how much they love their friends, family and the Lord from their words and examples and it has made my love for the Savior grow. It has made me appreciate my children more. I have been blessed to be a home teaching companion with my husband. The sisters homes that we visit are filled with the spirit of the Lord and we have become more than just neighbors we have become friends. My association in the church has brought me many life long friends and has added many happy and joyful times.
