Hi I'm Tiffany

I'm a musician, a crafter, an animal lover, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a 19 year old preparing to serve in the New Jersey Morristown Mission! I grew up in Southern California and when I was 15 my family and I moved to a small town in Southeast Idaho. My dad used to be a composer for Disney and because of that I have a love for good music. I have sung in the Idaho State Solo Competition and the Idaho All-State Treble choir and loved both experiences! I also had the chance to be in my high school's Show Choir which was super fun! Now I am a waitress and I love the opportunity to meet and serve all kinds of people especially when tourist season comes around. I spend most of my life at the restaurant in the summer, but that's fine because the people I work with are great! When I'm not singing or working (or both), I love walking my dogs, going on hikes to take pictures with my awesome camera, crafting, and playing the piano or my baritone ukulele. My life is definitely never boring! I always have something exciting to do!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have made the choice for myself to follow Christ and receive the blessings that come from living His gospel. Just a few months after I turned 12, my dad passed away from some health problems he had been experiencing for about 4 years. Although his death was devastating to me and my mom and brother, I was able to be comforted because I knew that families can be together forever, even after this life is over. Every time I pick up the Book of Mormon, no matter what I have gone through or what I have or haven't done, I am able to receive peace and comfort. Not only from the words on the page, but also through the Spirit of God. The Book of Mormon helps me make decisions that lead me to become more like Christ. I know that the words written there are true. I know that through Christ and His atonement I can be forgiven of any sins. The atonement makes it possible for me to return to live with God and my earthly family. I know that my dad is still very much a part my family and I will always be his little girl. This is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

There are many different ways in which I live my faith. I am part of a very small Young Single Adult Branch (or congregation) whose ages range from 18-31. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I have been given the opportunity to participate by leading the music in church every Sunday, and sometimes I get to teach a lesson or two. I also help plan activities for the singles in our branch to be around people their age and enjoy a spiritual yet fun environment. These activities also serve to help people who are not of our faith or inactive members get to know us better and learn about the gospel of Jesus Christ. These activities can be anything from delivering Thanksgiving dinners to people in need, to zip-lining, to cleaning up trash off the highway. The possibilities are endless! Outside of church I live my faith by the way I treat other people. I always try to be friendly to, and love everyone, because each one of us is a son or daughter of God. I'm always happy to answer others' questions about the church. I also try to go out of my way to serve people whenever they need help because I know that is what Christ would do.
