Hi I'm Alex Dahl

I love to go camping with my family. I like to play hockey and surf in the ocean. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second oldest of four kids. I was born in Tokyo Japan but grew up in Boise Idaho and Vancouver Canada. I am a student at Brigham Young University in Provo Utah but right now I am on a mission serving in Kobe Japan for two years.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings meaning to my life. Being apart of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints means that I am apart of a loving community of people who strive to obey the commandments just like me. I want to make smart decisions in my life and work hard to be successful; the Mormon church helps me to accomplish these goals by surrounding me with great examples of strong righteous men. I am a Mormon because of the book that we believe in. I read the Book of Mormon everyday and learn from its teachings. In the Mormon Church we believe that Jesus Christ lives and God answers our prayers. I am a Mormon because I know that my Heavenly Father is looking out for me and the Jesus Christ is with my everyday as my best friend. Being a Mormon brings peace and happiness to my life.

How I live my faith

I live the faith by attending my Church every Sunday and participating in activities. We have games and service projects at least once a week and I enjoy going to those and building relationships with my friends. One of my favorite things to do in high school was to take the sacrament to one of the retirement homes in my neighborhood. We would go and teach them and then administer the sacrament to them because they couldn’t make it to Church. I love the feeling I get when I can serve the people around me.
