Hi I'm Cassandra

i love popped corn and gluten free pizza, lady bugs are God's tender mercy to me (: California is truly the Golden State.

About Me

I love playing the Organ and the Piano and the Clarinet. Gluten Free pizza is the best pizza. I love jumping on the trampoline. I do my best thinking when I'm walking outside, or in the shower. I am a college student at BYU-Idaho. I was born as a Mormon but still had to choose if it was for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I always did what I was supposed to. I went to church, I was active in my calling in Young Women's, I was on Stake committees, and I completed the Personal Program twice. It got to a point where I was going to Church because it was expected of me and I didn't know if i wanted to be there or not. I had a testimony but it was hard for me to know if it was mine, or my parents'. I read and finished the Book of Mormon and knelt to the ground and asked Heavenly Father if what I read was true and if going to Church is the right thing to do for me. I got an answer that said "you already know. Why are you asking?" I got my answer so I never asked again. I know for a surety that this Church is the restored Church of Jesus Christ which teaches hope, love, charity and happiness that can only be found through the Atoning gift of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I teach in Relief Society once a month. I have been the ward organist/pianist since I was 14 years old. I am currently serving the Lord on an 18 month Mission.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Cassandra
Jesus Christ showed His love for all of us by preforming the ultimate and last sacrifice-The Atonement-the suffering in Gethsemane, Dying on the Cross and being Resurrected. "No unclean thing can enter in God's presence", therefore He provided a Savior to save us from Spiritual Death and allow us to repent, change and become like the Savior and ultimately return into our Father's presence again. When partaking of the Atonement, we become One with Christ. The Atonement is infinite and covers all mistakes, sins and short comings. Because of Jesus Christ, we too, can overcome Sin and Death-Temporal and Spiritual. Jesus Christ was perfect so I don't have to be. Show more Show less
