Hi I'm Madi Hamilton

I'm a missionary serving in South Carolina. I love to laugh and make other people laugh. I love to share the gospel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. My major is social work but I also enjoy studying political science. I have been richly blessed with a wonderful home life and family, but I know there are many who do not enjoy those blessings. I hope to be able to do all I can to help my brothers and sisters here on the earth who are in less fortunate circumstances. Humor plays a major part in my life - I love to laugh and make other people laugh and I believe with all my heart that God wants us to be happy. I love the gospel because even when it gets hard to be happy, I can always rely on the peace that comes from knowing of my Heavenly Father and His plan for me and of my Savior and His atoning sacrifice for me. Even though I make mistakes every day and am so far from perfection, I am comforted and strengthened beyond comprehension by being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and actively living by the knowledge that I have of this gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in the LDS church and have been taught its principles all my life, I have come to know for myself that its teachings are true. I also know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that Joseph Smith translated it by the power of God, and I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to him and told him to organize the restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love it. I know Jesus Christ performed the atonement for all of His children so that we can better ourselves through repentance and then return to live with Him. I am so grateful for his sacrifice. I love my Savior and will forever be indebted to Him for what He did for me. I know that families are of God, and I know that He put us in families to learn and grow. I love my family and can't wait to be with them for eternity. I know that when I do my best to do those things that will bring me closer to Christ, He will help me become better everyday. I'm not perfect and never will be, but I am trying my best to be like my Savior. I can't wait to live with Him again and I want to be able to tell Him that I tried my very best to be like Him. I love this gospel because it brings me so much joy and gives me hope for the future. I have faith that Heavenly Father has a plan for me and that things will work out according to that perfect plan if I am living according to what he would have me do. I am a Mormon and I am so happy that I am!

How I live my faith

Right now on my mission, I have the opportunity to share the message of the gospel with anyone and everyone I can here in South Carolina. I love this gospel so much and want so badly for others to be able to experience the joy and peace I feel from living it daily. It's not always easy, especially here in the South where so many people are devout members of their own faith, but I am so privileged to be able to be serving the Lord by sharing His gospel. Helping others become closer to Jesus Christ is my ultimate purpose; I do that by teaching them faith, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end, all of which I am still continually striving to do every day. We aren't perfect and never will be but as long as we are trying our best, I know our Heavenly Father blesses us for it. I've already seen the change in others' lives as they've tried to be closer to Christ and live His gospel, and I can't wait to help so many others be able to do the same.
