Hi I'm Judy

I grew up in Southern California. I am a wife, mother of 7, grandmother of 20 and retired nurse. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love music! I play the piano, organ, and flute and love singing in our church choir. I love sewing, especially making quilts for my family. I also enjoy knitting and crocheting. But most of all I love spending time with my family - camping, celebrating special occasions, and playing games.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all my life. My ancestors were founding members in the church. They sacrificed much as they crossed the great American plains to find a place to practice their new Mormon religion without persecution. I respect and appreciate their devotion, but that is not the reason I am a Mormon. As a young adult I found my own testimony through prayer and study. I was impressed that the principles of the church were true and that living those principles was the best path to happiness and success in this life. I am 71 years old now, and know better than ever that my decision 50 years ago to following the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was the best decision I ever made. God and His son, Jesus Christ, are real. They know us and love us each personally. Their greatest joy and ours is when we let them be part of our life. I am so grateful for my relationship with God and Jesus, and for my membership in their church.

How I live my faith

I have enjoyed many opportunities to serve in both my community and church. I loved working in school councils and Boy Scouts of America for many years. I enjoy teaching gospel classes and helping with the music at our church. I also enjoy helping others discover their ancestral history.
