Hi I'm Kathy

I grew up in Southern California. I am a retired elementary school teacher. I love the beach. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a retired teacher. I grew up in Southern California. I love the beach, singing and dancing. I enjoy learning languages and about other cultures. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor Degree in Theatre Arts. I enjoy people and I have been accused of asking too many questions, but I am just very interested.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because when I was 16, I had a trial of my faith. My mother was a second generation member and my father was the son of a multi-generational pioneer handcart family. I was raised attending church every week and was taught in all aspects of my life to live an obedient and righteous active life as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. But, it was necessary for me to establish my own belief system, which I did after searching and learning about why I believed the way I did. I discovered that after analyzing, testing and study - that I did really, wholeheartedly trust in the doctrine that has been provided by God through His Prophets.

How I live my faith

My Faith permeates every aspect of my daily life. The whole purpose of this life, my wholeness, and security comes from the teachings of my Faith. So, as I live my life, my way of thinking and approaching each day, facing the challenges and setting my goals, stem from what I believe. I intend to have each interaction with others be influenced by the example of our Savior Jesus Christ’s example. The choices I make and the things I do are always measured by my desire to please my God.
