Hi I'm Jessica Gavito

I am from Toronto, Ontario. I am preparing to serve as a full time missionary in Salt Lake City Utah and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a student and will be finishing my last semester in the Fitness and Health Promotion program before heading out to Utah! I love being active, running, nature and obstacle course racing. One of the most important things to me is my family. I'm grateful for my parents who always made sure that our home was Christ and family centred. I consider my parents to be my best role models because they have always taught me through example. My siblings are my best friends. I couldn't imagine life without them. I spend most of my leisure time with them. I come from a numerous family and I LOVE having family get togethers and being with all my cousins, aunts and uncles. If there is something that I wish to do in this life, it would be to make a difference in people's lives and in communities. I believe that everyone is born with great potential and that we can make a difference wherever we may be. I hope to one day have my own organization where I can give back to communities and help build future leaders.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this faith brings my life happiness and purpose. I can always be better because of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to love and serve the people around me. To look at everybody as a child of God. Prayer and scripture study help me to always remember my source of strength and guidance. I love attending institute and I absolutely love the YSA ward I attend.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Jessica Gavito
In my opinion it is important to take care of our bodies because that is where our spirits reside. I believe that as we properly care for our bodies both physically and spiritually, we can receive more guidance from the Holy Ghost. Our bodies were created to do amazing things. As we obey the word of wisdom, exercise regularly, eat a well balanced diet, we will be able to have health, wisdom, knowledge. Show more Show less
