Hi I'm Laura

I'm a California native, a future nurse, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm currently a student at BYU and I'm studying nursing and ASL. I'm originally from Northern California. I love to go to the beach, go hiking, and go to baseball games with my parents and older sister. I volunteer with American Red Cross and hope to work more with them after I finish my degree.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents did a wonderful job of teaching my sister and I the gospel. However, once I became an adult and moved out of my parents house I had to decide for myself if the church was something I believed in and wanted to continue with. Through studying the Book of Mormon, praying, and living His commandments I gained a testimony of the gospel and its truth for myself. I know that this church is true and that it is the restored gospel and I know that our Heavenly Father loves us so much He sent His only son to atone for us and I could not be happier because of this.

How I live my faith

I regularly attend church in my student ward and have a calling as a family history specialist. Along with the other members of the committee, I teach my ward how to index, find family names, take them to the temple, and anything else they could possibly need help with. I do my visiting teaching each month and try to keep a good relationship with the girls I visit teach. Outside of my student ward, I try to be an example to everyone and share the gospel as much as I can.
