Hi I'm Junior

I'm a Mormon living in Botswana. I am 18 years old and preparing to serve a mission!

About Me

I've just finished my last year of high school and currently work as a call centre agent. I play the piano and a few other instruments and listen to music (mainly pop and acoustic) a WHOLE LOT. Reading is one of my hobbies (book nerd alert) and I only watch television occasionally. I recently started out a blog as well, juniormsays.blogspot.com . I'm an ambivert and love making new friends!

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Church and I chose to be a Mormon because of the joy the gospel brought to my heart. I met the missionaries one day when they were visiting my cousin and I happened to be there. I listened to them as they taught and eventually invited them to my home (about a month before I turned 12). They taught my sister (who was 7 at the time) and I for a while and we got baptised. We later learned that our mum was a member of the Church a long time ago but left. We worked on bringing her back to church and strived to live the commandments of God. I've gained a knowledge for myself of the truthfulness of the teachings in the Church. God exists, His Son did die for our sins and it is the through the Holy Ghost that I know these things. The Book of Mormon is true scripture and was translated by a true prophet, Joseph Smith, who was an instrument in restoring God's kingdom on earth in these the latter days. The leaders of this church are each called of God. We are all children of God and He loves each of us. Christ atoned for us and beckons us to come unto Him. If we take heed to His call we will be blessed immensely. I want to be the best person I can be and reach my full potential, and this is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I sometimes teach the young single adults in my ward on Sundays. I love doing family history and indexing (check it out on familysearch.org), and I usually play the piano during church meetings and occasions. I also attend institute classes each week and serve as an assisant to our ward bishop. I strive to do hometeaching each month and love going to teach with missionaries.
