Hi I'm Karla Viera

I grew up Mexican in North Texas. I love art, and I hope to go college to learn it. In a family of 9 plus three and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm living currently in Fort Worth, Texas with my mom, dad, 1 older sister, two younger brothers, and 3 adopted little sisters with my niece. (big family when my sister brings her other two boys with her). I'm going to Santa Rosa, California March 16, 2016 on my 18 month mission trip ^^ But afterwards I hope to go to college and learn about professional art and how to draw it. Despite being an adult, I like cartoons, Disney, and video games. I grew up in a small two bedroom house with my me and my 3 siblings in one room so I quickly came to appreciate the closeness of our family. I love kids and hope to maybe work with them as a teacher in the future.

Why I am a Mormon

My father was a Mormon all his life and my mother was a Catholic before she married him. She didn't know it until they wanted to get married and my dad introduced her to the church first (my mom instantly loving the community we have) So being born and raised in the church, it took nearly all of my growing up, up until the age of 18 to fully appreciate what I have in the LDS church. I have seen so things in life happen because of my faith. It's protected me physically and mentally from many things in the world and has given me a ray of hope in a world so vast with dissension and unkindness. From protection against danger to wisdom through good decisions, I have seen small miracles from God. The biggest one of all is because of me going on my mission trip and requiring me to get my wisdom teeth out, they found a tumor with dormant cancer cells in my mouth. Had I not gone through the year of process of removing it, I would of lived my life with an aggressive mouth cancer and a life of harder trials. I am a Mormon because I know where I am here will push me to become a better person, live with a smile in my heart, and appreciate finding the light in a darkened world.

How I live my faith

I'm called as a teacher on Sunday's. I used to help out with the youth of my ward with their activities and now I help my younger sisters with their church activities when I can. Just an active member going to church every Sunday and attending activities and dances in the area.

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

Karla Viera
Common misconception xD But no we do not. When our religion was in the early years, Mormons had practiced it but ceased to do so after a period of time. While there are others who still practice it, they are not considered with us. Show more Show less
