Hi I'm Jacque

I was born in El Paso, Texas and lived there until I was 6. I then was raised in Utah. I am Mexican-American. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to sing. As a child and even now I love movies, music, and plays. I was in choir for 6 years. As a child I was very driven and I would take no for an answer. I would tryout for any opportunity for a solo. I took me 3 years to get the solo I had been dreaming of. In High School I discover my love for acting. I am a very quite person but not shy. I love to be on stage and perform the best I can, when I get the opportunity. Music is something I go to no matter how I am feeling. I feel the Holy Ghost the strongest when I am listening to music. I am currently on a Mission in the California Modesto Mission. I am looking forward to sharing the gospel through music and invite people to come unto Christ through the power of music and through the Holy Ghost. My family is the most important part of my life, because of this deciding to serve a mission was really hard for me. I am so happy I made this decision. I want others to know that they can be with their families forever. As I am on my mission I want to share that love I have for my family with the people of my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have faith in hope and the love of my father in heaven. I believe that my father in heaven loves me and know me better than I know myself. I know through having my heavenly father present in my life I can and will have a joyful life. In a moment in my life I was feeling helpless and hopeless. I started to think what is the point of living my life style and going to church if after everything I still am not happy. I didn't go to church, read my scriptures, or pray to my father in heaven. During this time things got worst and I had more hopeless than ever. I than decided to pray with all my heart to my heavenly father to comfort my heart. I received the prompting that I need my mother to help me through my difficult time. Expecting for the worst I went to my mother. However, my mom was so kind and comforting and asked what can I help you with and everything will work out. With small step with the help of my mother I started to pray and attend church again, I was still difficult to move forward everyday but with the help of the angel being my mother my father in heaven provided I was able to climb out of my dark time. I am a big believer in tender mercies. It's the small blessing that count and contribute as a collective to greater blessings. I am a Mormon because I remember the small mercies my father in heaven gives me to help me through the day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith but sharing my musical ability. Music is a way to uplift people and share a message someone needs to hear. I would be asked to give a musical number and share music in that way. It wasn't until my freshman year I was given a calling as ward choir director where I felt I was completely focusing my time on the Lord and helping to invite the spirit during sacrament meetings. I live my faith through serving the Lord in the way I know I can thanks to my father in heaven.
