Hi I'm Spencer Carter

I live in Independence, Missouri. I help fix up and refurbish run-down houses. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really enjoy the work I do with houses. I've learned so much from my employer. I love learning new skills and trades. I also enjoy playing sports recreationally, especially tennis. Although I do not get many opportunities in Missouri, I really like hiking and the outdoors. After my Junior year in high school, I went on a high adventure trip hiking 45 miles through backcountry and mountains of the Sangre de Cristo range in Colorado. I've also been hiking in Nevada, Arizona, and California. My family plays a large part in my life. We enjoy going to our local amusement and water park, Worlds of Fun and playing games together.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born a Mormon, it has been my personal decision to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and be active in His church. I continue to follow His gospel because it brings me true happiness; it helps me love and serve. I know Jesus Christ suffered and died on the cross for my sins and afflictions. Because of His Atonement I am able to overcome my shortcomings. I love my Savior because after I have done all I can, He makes up the rest.

How I live my faith

Every other Sunday I teach a group of 11-year old children Sunday School. Each month, another member of my congregation and I visit four families to teach, help, and support. My faith in Jesus Christ influences every decision I make.
