Hi I'm Jose

I am the oldest of 4. I love technology. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of 4 and am the only member in my household. My parents have been supportive of my decision and am happy that they have been. I love to ride bikes, air-board, go sledding, hiking, running on top of trains, finding lakes or ponds to cool off, camping and hanging out with friends around a fire. I go to Brigham Young University in Idaho and I love it there!

Why I am a Mormon

My lifestyle before becoming a member was CRAZY and DESTRUCTIVE! I adapted this lifestyle when I was only 13 years old. I went out to parties with friends every night and did drugs, which affected my performance in school and it also affected my family, especially my siblings as I was the oldest and they looked up to me. When I was a senior in high school I started to think about my life and the example I had been giving to my younger siblings. I also started to think about all the things i've done and had this feeling that I wanted to change all that. I didn't want to continue living my life like that. A few months into my senior year I met this girl who invited me to her church and I continually turned down her offer. It wasn't till the forth or fifth time that she asked me that I finally said yes. I am glad I did. That Sunday I met two sister missionaries who later became my teachers in learning about the gospel. My life changed for the better since then. It hasn't been easy but it is well worth it. I know God cares about his children and wants all of us to come back to him. Through him everything is possible. I know that we have been blessed to have a modern day prophet, the fulness of Jesus Christ's gospel and the blessing of families being together forever. I that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that the Bible is the word of God. With these two books, together, I have gotten closer to him then I have ever been before and I leave that in the name of our Lord and Redeemer Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I go out with the missionaries whenever I can to visit members as well as non- members. I do my best to be an example to the rest of my siblings so they might follow. I give service to others when I see they need it. I try to do my best to live in harmony with the teachings of the Lord's gospel and commandments.
