Hi I'm John Czyril Soliven

I'm an average guy who loves life, a hundred percent Filipino. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

You can call me JC. I'm a Filipino and was born and raised in the wonderful island of the Philippines. I'm an engineering student. I love math! I also love to play sports like Swimming, Basketball, Volleyball and Ultimate Frisbee. Playing with my guitar, watching NBA, PBA and awesome movies hanging out with my friends are the things that I normally do with my free time. I also love to read books (novels, fiction, romance). Like What I said, I'm an average guy who loves life. We're not rich but my parents make it sure that I have everything that I need and things that I want. I'm in love with four wheels and motorbikes. I believe in the saying that: "A good driver is a sweet lover". xD I really enjoy living in this world. I am continually doing my best to live my life on how my Heavenly Father wants me to live it. I do not live only for myself but also for others and for Him.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon, my parents are both converts in the church so it became easy for me to accept its beliefs. Not until I grew up and started to ask and have questions like: "Am I really in the true church?". So like other converts in this church, I started to really study our own beliefs and take the challenge to read the Book of Mormon, ponder it in my heart and ask God our Heavenly father if this things are really true. The Holy Ghost made it known unto me that this things are really true. That is the reason why until now I'm still a member of this church and still striving and doing my very best to live its teachings. I know this church is the only true church here on earth and I am very grateful for the eternal love that Heavenly Father showed to us when he used prophet Joseph Smith as an instrument to restore His church and His gospel. I know that families can be together FOREVER. I love being a member of this church.

How I live my faith

I will be soon serving as a full-time missionary in my own country, in Philippines San Pablo Mission. Ever since I was born, I was trained by my family and leaders in the church to be a missionary someday. In my youth days I had received callings and duties in the church, finished my Duty to God course, attended seminary class and is now attending institute class. By this, I was able to more fully understand how to be a real disciple of Jesus Christ and be more prepared to be a full-time representative of Him. Knowing that I am a child of God, it became easy for me to live in His standards. I know that my body is a temple of God and I will never do anything that will destroy it or will disrespect it. I am not perfect but I am doing my very best to be worthy to enter in the temple someday and be married there for time and eternity.
